Along with the rest of the world, we watched in horror as a policeman literally smashed the breath out of George Floyd. This is not the kind of world we want our children to grow up in. We stand in solidarity with the Black community and all people around the world who seek justice, humanity, humility and equal rights. I pray for the safety of the millions of peaceful demonstrators around the world as they express their frustration, outrage and demands. What they are doing must be done to enact change, monumental change and again we stand by them.
But each of us must do more. We need to be part of the solution in fighting systemic racism in whatever way we can. Let’s work collectively seeking justice for the civil and human rights of all citizens.
