The Swing Remix 2020 WINTER SEASON OPENER on Saturday January 11 with headliner George Gee & His Orchestra! The Swing Remix 2020 WINTER SEASON OPENER on Saturday January 11 with headliner George Gee & His Orchestra!We’ll be kicking off the season with Veteran bandleader George Gee celebrating his 40th Anniversary as a band leader (1980-2020). This will be George Gee’s Swing Remix debut, bringing to the dance floor their traditional and cutting-edge Big Band styles.
Plus renowned 4 time World swing dance champion Nathalie Gomes will be our featured workshop instructor. And a Special Dance Performance by The Roaring Rascals at 11PM in Centennial Celebration of The Roaring Twenties.
The Swing Remix Presents Pre-Dance WORKSHOPS, A BEGINNER SWING CLASS (Free with General Admission), LIVE MUSIC, DANCE PERFORMANCES and Lots of SOCIAL DANCE TIME. PLUS A VINTAGE MARKET, VINTAGE FILMS and give aways at our showtime hour.

Description:This workshop has something for everyone. Here you’ll learn fun steps and creative variations to do when the dance floor gets a little too crowded and you don’t want to rely on Balboa.

7:30PM (55min) Creating Contrast in your Lindy Hop | LINDY HOP Level: Int +
Location: 4th Floor
Contrast makes Lindy Hop more interesting. It can be created through footwork, changes in movement speed, changes of levels and more. After this workshop, you will have several tools and skills to add texture to your dancing.

7:45PM (30 min) BEGINNER SWING | Level: Beginner Open
Location: Auditorium L2
This class is great if you’re new to swing or if you would like a refresher on partnering. You’ll learn techniques that will bring you up to speed with the crowd of swing dancers. This class is FREE with your General Admission ticket.
